The audio gained wider attention after being analyzed in a video released by the YouTube channel Nghe Như Thật, which described the recording as a critical new development in what it called a multi-part examination of the case. The video, labeled “Part 2,” quickly attracted significant viewership before related clips and discussions were reportedly restricted or removed across several platforms.
Yu Menglong, a well-known figure in the Chinese entertainment industry, was found dead on the fifth floor of a building described in online accounts as unfamiliar to him. An initial official conclusion characterized the incident as an accidental fall. However, since that announcement, online discussions have continued to highlight what they describe as unresolved questions, including reports of non-functioning security cameras at the time of the incident and damage to a window frame near where Yu was found.
According to the analysis presented in the video, the leaked audio contains emotional statements attributed to Yu’s mother, who is heard crying and calling for a reinvestigation. The voice in the recording alleges that Yu’s death was not accidental and refers to concealed evidence and interference by unnamed powerful interests.
