On Monday (Jan 26), Eun Woo personally issued a public apology on his Instagram handle over his actions.
“I fully acknowledge that this misunderstanding also stemmed from my own shortcomings, and I feel a deep sense of responsibility for it. If I were not in the position of a soldier, I would want to personally visit each and every person who was affected by this incident, bow my head, and apologize directly. It is with all my heart that I am writing this,” a part of his statement read.
Earlier today, his agency Fantagio issued another statement regarding the tax evasion case and urged everyone to “refrain from making indiscriminate speculation, spreading unconfirmed information, and over-interpreting allegations,” as reported by Koreaboo.
The statement read, “Hello, this is Fantagio. We sincerely apologize for any concern caused by recent developments regarding our artist, Cha Eunwoo.
We feel a heavy sense of responsibility for the controversy stemming from matters involving our company and our artist. The allegations are currently being verified in accordance with the tax authorities’ procedures. Both the agency and artist are cooperating with the investigation within the scope of their respective obligations. Once the legal and administrative decisions become clear, we will responsibly implement the necessary measures based on the findings.
However, we’d like to ask you to refrain from making indiscriminate speculation, spreading unconfirmed information, and over-interpreting allegations.
We will use this matter as an opportunity to reexamine our artist management system and supplement or strengthen any necessary systems to prevent similar controversies in the future. Thank you. (sic)”

Taking to the comment section of Eun Woo’s apology statement post, Arden, who voiced Rumi in the hit Netflix animated film, wrote, “Always supporting you, dongseng, Hwaiting.”
