A Little Rock family is mourning an unimaginable loss after a mother and her two young sons were killed in a devastating hit-and-run crash in Pulaski County.
What began as an ordinary drive on a Sunday evening ended in fire, chaos, and heartbreak that destroyed an entire family within moments.
Thirty-one-year-old Breu’hna Hall was driving south along Arch Street shortly after 9:00 p.m. when tragedy suddenly unfolded in front of her.
According to Arkansas State Police, an oncoming vehicle drifted into Hall’s lane and struck her car head-on.
The violent collision caused Hall’s Buick to burst into flames, trapping the family inside as emergency crews rushed toward the scene.
But Breu’hna was not alone in the vehicle that night.
Inside the car with her were her two little boys, 4-year-old Dax Barnes and 2-year-old Dyce Love.
All three died from their injuries after the horrifying impact, according to the Arkansas State Police Fatal Crash Report.
Now, loved ones are left grieving not one life, but three, after a mother and her sons were killed together on a dark Arkansas roadway.
Authorities say the people inside the other vehicle fled the scene immediately after the crash instead of staying to help.
Dispatch audio obtained from the night of the collision captures the confusion and urgency unfolding as first responders raced toward the fire.
One dispatcher called for emergency crews to respond to a vehicle fire near Arch Street and West Dixon Road around 9:20 p.m.
Moments later, another voice over emergency radio traffic warned responding units about possible fatalities at the scene.
“Be advised, it looks like one, possibly two fatalities,” the dispatcher reportedly said during the chaotic response.
As emergency crews arrived, the devastating reality quickly became even worse.
Authorities later confirmed that Breu’hna and both of her young sons had died from injuries sustained during the crash and fire.
Meanwhile, dispatch recordings also revealed that multiple individuals were seen fleeing from the other vehicle after the collision.
According to the audio, dispatchers reported that three males exited the gray truck involved in the crash before running away from the scene.
Another dispatcher later reported that two of the individuals were seen running near Baseline Road shortly afterward.
The idea that people allegedly fled while a mother and two children were trapped inside a burning vehicle has deeply shaken the community.
Families across Arkansas have reacted with grief and outrage while following details surrounding the heartbreaking case.
On Tuesday afternoon, Arkansas State Police announced an arrest connected to the deadly hit-and-run investigation.
Authorities arrested 33-year-old Victor Reyes of Little Rock in connection with the crash.
State Police Criminal Investigation Division special agents charged Reyes with three counts of negligent homicide.
Investigators have not publicly released additional details regarding whether more arrests could follow as the investigation continues.
For Breu’hna Hall’s family, however, the legal process cannot undo the devastation left behind after the deadly collision.
Loved ones remember Hall as a devoted mother whose life revolved around caring for her children and supporting the people around her.
Family members described her as joyful, loving, and someone who brought warmth into every room she entered.
They say she was deeply loved not only as a mother, but also as a daughter, sister, cousin, and friend.
Now, instead of hearing the laughter of her boys, relatives are preparing funerals and trying to process a loss too painful to fully understand.
The deaths of Dax and Dyce have especially shattered those who knew the little boys and watched them grow.
At only four and two years old, the children were just beginning their lives when everything was suddenly taken away.
They should have been growing up beside their mother, celebrating birthdays, playing together, and building memories still waiting ahead of them.
Instead, their lives ended beside her inside a burning vehicle after what authorities describe as a hit-and-run collision.
The tragedy also leaves behind another child forever changed by the loss.
Breu’hna’s 12-year-old daughter, Madisyn Jones, must now face life without her mother and little brothers.
Family members say the emotional pain surrounding the crash has been overwhelming as relatives struggle to support one another through unimaginable grief.
A GoFundMe campaign has been established to help the family with funeral costs and other expenses following the devastating tragedy.
Community members throughout Little Rock have continued sharing prayers, condolences, and messages honoring the lives lost that night.
The case has also renewed conversations about reckless driving, hit-and-run crashes, and the devastating consequences of fleeing an accident scene.
Authorities consistently warn that leaving the scene of a serious collision can delay lifesaving aid for victims trapped or critically injured.
In this case, however, the collision and resulting fire proved fatal for all three members of the family inside the Buick.
Emergency responders arriving at the scene encountered flames, destruction, and a tragedy already too late to reverse.
For loved ones, the haunting details of the crash continue replaying in their minds every single day afterward.
A mother driving her children down the road should have made it home safely that night.
Instead, Breu’hna Hall, Dax Barnes, and Dyce Love lost their lives together in a violent collision that left a family permanently broken.
And now, a twelve-year-old girl is left carrying the unbearable weight of surviving the loss of her mother and both little brothers all at once.
