Houston community prepares to honor Ashanti Allen

Houston, Texas — Family members and friends are preparing to honor the life of Ashanti Allen, a young woman whose death has shaken the local community, along with her unborn son, Jaxon.

A balloon release is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Chimney Rock Park, where loved ones will gather to remember Ashanti Allen and celebrate her life.

A formal “Celebration of Life” service will also be held on Sunday at Forest Park Missouri City Funeral Home, providing an opportunity for the community to come together in mourning and support.

According to available information, Ashanti Allen was reported missing on April 10, two days after she was last seen on April 8.

Her body was later discovered more than a week afterward in a park located in southwest Houston.

Authorities confirmed the arrest of Kevin Faux, identified as her on-and-off boyfriend.

He has been formally charged in connection with her death. Family members also stated that Kevin Faux was the father of the unborn child, Jaxon.

The case remains under active investigation as law enforcement continues to gather evidence and determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

The loss of Ashanti Allen and her unborn son has sparked an outpouring of grief across Houston, with community members expressing condolences and calling for justice.
