Two more American heroes have now been identified among the service members who lost their lives in the recent attack in Kuwait.
Maj. Jeffrey R. O’Brien of Indiana and Chief Warrant Officer 3 Robert M. Marzan of Sacramento were serving their country when their lives were taken in a drone strike targeting a U.S. facility in Port Shuaiba. Both men wore the uniform with honor, carrying out their duty far from home in service to the nation they loved.
Behind every name is a life that meant everything to someone. A son who once made his parents proud. A friend who shared laughter and memories. A leader who stood beside fellow soldiers when it mattered most. For the families who received the heartbreaking call, the loss is not just the loss of a soldier — it is the loss of a father, a brother, a husband, a loved one whose place at the table will forever remain empty.
These men stood watch so that others could live in peace. They served in difficult places, far from the people who meant the most to them, believing in a mission bigger than themselves. That kind of courage cannot be measured in rank or medals. It is measured in sacrifice.
Tonight we remember Maj. Jeffrey R. O’Brien and Chief Warrant Officer 3 Robert M. Marzan. May their service never be forgotten, and may their families find strength in knowing that their loved ones gave everything in the service of their country.
