At a recent Greater Bay Area Film and Music Gala, Hong Kong diva Jenny Tseng (甄妮) criticized major celebrities for not paying tribute to Yu Menglong. Meanwhile, actor Xiao Zhan reportedly caught the eye of a “lecherous tycoon,” making him the center of attention at the event.

Observers noted that during the banquet, Xiao Zhan held a white thermos cup, even when toasting with Hong Kong pop diva Joey Yung (容祖兒). In video clips, Xiao Zhan can be seen entering the venue with the same white thermos in hand, shaking hands with powerful figures yet never setting it down, drawing widespread attention.
