Officer Jonathan \u2018Jon\u2019 Ross shot Good three times in quick succession on Wednesday afternoon after she allegedly\u00a0ignored ICE agents\u2019 demands to get out of her SUV<\/span>.<\/p>\n

A GoFundMe campaign created to support her wife\u00a0Rebecca and Good\u2019s three children, including her six-year-old son who is now orphaned, has amassed more nearly 38,000 donations in just two days.<\/p>\n

The crowdfunder sought $50,000 to support the Good family as they \u2018grapple with the devastating loss of their wife and mother.\u2019<\/p>\n

But the campaign was raised more than 28 times the requested amount, with one anonymous donor alone generously contributing $50,000. The total sits just above $1.5 million as of 3:30pm ET Friday.<\/p>\n

Fundraiser organizers, in an update Thursday, said they are \u2018brokenhearted and in awe of your generosity.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018My family met Renee and Becca after they moved to town and become fast friends,\u2019 co-organizer Becka Tilsen wrote. \u2018Thank you again for your compassion. They feel this tidal wave of care and it really matters.\u2019<\/p>\n

Good\u2019s killing has sparked global outrage with furious Democrats branding Ross a murderer. But Ross has the full support of the Trump administration, who argue he acted in self-defense when it appeared Good intended to run him down with her car.<\/p>\n

The Goods lived in a rented home (pictured) Kansas City\u2019s vibrant Waldo neighborhood for about two years but decided to flee the US after Trump\u2019s election. They\u00a0spent some time in Canada before deciding to settle in Minneapolis<\/p>\n

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and other Trump administration officials have defended\u00a0Ross as an experienced law enforcement professional\u00a0<\/span>who followed his training and shot Good after he believed she was trying to run him or other agents over with her vehicle.<\/p>\n

But video has raised questions about whether the shooting was in self-defense, and the\u00a0FBI is investigating the deadly use of force<\/span>.\u00a0Some protesters are demanding that Ross face criminal charges, and Minnesota authorities also want to investigate.<\/p>\n

Recordings of the shooting show an officer approaching Good\u2019s stopped SUV. He grabbed the driver\u2019s door handle as he allegedly demanded she open the door.<\/p>\n

Her Honda Pilot began to pull forward and Ross pulled his weapon, immediately\u00a0firing three shots and jumping back as the vehicle moved toward him.<\/p>\n

It is not clear from the videos if the vehicle made contact with Ross. After the shooting, the SUV slammed into two cars parked on a curb before crashing to a stop.<\/p>\n

Newly released surveillance video showed how Good apparently\u00a0blocked the road with her SUV for four minutes<\/span>\u00a0before she was killed.<\/p>\n

About 20 seconds after Good pulled up to the street<\/span>, a passenger \u2013 believed to be her wife Rebecca Good \u2013 exited the vehicle and eventually began filming.<\/p>\n

There is speculation that Rebecca Good, who admitted to bringing her spouse to the anti-ICE protest, exited the car so she could begin filming any potential clash with federal agents.\u00a0She was seen wielding her camera during Ross\u2019s confrontation with her wife but it is unclear when she first started to record.<\/p>\n

Good then allegedly became involved in the community at her six-year-old son\u2019s charter school and it\u2019s local \u2018ICE Watch\u2019 group, which is a coalition of\u00a0activists who seek to disrupt immigration raids<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Rebecca, in a harrowing footage captured at the scene, admitted she encouraged Good to confront agents. \u2018I made her come down here, it\u2019s my fault,\u2019 she cried.<\/p>\n

Witnesses have claimed Good, a mother of three, and Rebecca were acting as legal observers and filming the protest.<\/p>\n

But Good\u2019s mother Donna Ganger has denied reports that her daughter would have been\u00a0\u2018part of anything like\u2019 the protests against ICE that were taking place at the location where she was killed.<\/p>\n

The Trump administration has repeatedly characterized the shooting as an act of self-defense and cast Good as a villain, suggesting she used her vehicle as a weapon to attack the officer who shot her.<\/p>\n

Vice President JD Vance said the shooting was justified and Good was a \u2018victim of left-wing ideology.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018I can believe that her death is a tragedy while also recognizing that it is a tragedy of her own making,\u2019 Vance said, noting that the officer who killed her was injured while making an arrest last June.<\/p>\n

But state and local officials and protesters rejected that characterization, with Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey saying video recordings show the self-defense argument is \u2018garbage.\u2019<\/p>\n
