The mother of the\u00a0bride who\u2019s fighting for her life in Japan\u00a0after her honeymoon took a terrifying turn wants to thank everyone for their support.<\/p>\n

Sarah Danh, a 27-year-old labor and delivery nurse based in Texas, has been battling for her life for the past week in Tokyo. On the second day of her honeymoon, on April 9, she suffered a \u201clife-threatening health decline\u201d and has been in the intensive care unit with acute liver failure.<\/p>\n

Danh\u2019s mother, Le Le, recently joined her and her husband, Luke Gradl, 28, in Japan for \u201cmoral support.\u201d She now tells PEOPLE that she\u2019s blown away by all of the support her family has received and is expressing her gratitude.<\/p>\n

Since their story has garnered more attention, their\u00a0GoFundMe\u00a0\u2014 which was created to ease the financial burden of medical bills, flights and other urgent expenses \u2014 has skyrocketed. Over $130,000 has been raised as of Friday, April 17. Many people have also commented online that they\u2019re praying for them.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are incredibly grateful for all the kind words, prayers, and support that have been shared during this difficult time,\u201d Le says. \u201cEach message, each prayer and every act of kindness has meant more to us than we can truly express.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gradl tells PEOPLE that efforts are underway to bring Danh home to the U.S. for further treatment. An\u00a0emergency flight has been secured\u00a0for next week. \u201cThe flight is scheduled for Tuesday, April 21, and will require multiple stops along the way back to San Antonio,\u201d he says, explaining that \u201cthe flight is through AirMed, which is being provided through HCA and is affiliated with her work, Methodist Hospital.\u201d<\/p>\n

Danh\u2019s condition is \u201cstable but still critical condition,\u201d Gradl adds. \u201cWe have been fighting for stability to be \u2018fit for flight\u2019 by both doctors in Japan and San Antonio.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
