Multiple sources confirmed that the video Swalwell recorded of his full-throated denial was taken from a room inside the 9,700-square-foot home of Stephen Cloobeck, who\u2019s also been\u00a0shacking up with an alleged honeytrapper\u00a0accused of burglarizing the home of rich, older men in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot has been said about me today through anonymous allegations, and I thought it was important that you see and hear from me directly,\u201d Swalwell said in the video posted Friday from Cloobeck\u2019s mansion. \u201cThese allegations of sexual assault are flat out false.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cThey have never happened. And I will fight them with everything that I have.\u201d<\/p>\n

Until Friday, Swalwell was the Democratic frontrunner in the California governor\u2019s race, but\u00a0his campaign has been in a free-fall\u00a0since the allegations surfaced.<\/p>\n

Within hours of the San Francisco Chronicle publishing a bombshell report of a former staffer accusing Swalwell of sexual assault, numerous elected officials and labor unions yanked their endorsements and fundraising operations were shuttered.<\/p>\n

CNN followed up with its own report Friday afternoon that included four women with allegations against Swalwell that included rape, sexual assault and other sexual misconduct.<\/p>\n

In the clip of Swalwell speaking to the camera to issue his denial, he appeared to be wearing a light blue dress shirt nearly identical to the one he wore at\u00a0a town hall Tuesday night in Sacramento, marking his last campaign event before the claims came to light.<\/p>\n

He also admitted to indiscretions in the video, saying \u201cthose mistakes are between me and my wife and to her I apologize deeply.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the town hall on Tuesday, The Post explicitly asked Swalwell if he ever had a sexual relationship with a staff or an intern. \u201cNo, no, no, no,\u201d he responded.<\/p>\n

Swalwell has received Cloobeck\u2019s support in the form of campaign money, as the timeshare mogul has dropped more than $1 million backing the congressman\u2019s candidacy for governor. He also received a $31,000 trip to France from the billionaire.<\/p>\n

It now appears the pair has turned Cloobeck\u2019s palatial estate \u2014\u00a0valued at $26 million\u00a0and featuring six bedrooms, seven bathrooms and a tennis court \u2014 into a war room-style command center.<\/p>\n

The Post previosuly reported that Swalwell was missing votes in Congress while posting videos of himself inside the mansion, which will also soon become the home of Adva Lavie, a\u00a0former Penthouse Pet and Israeli OnlyFans model\u00a0who is engaged to Cloobeck and\u00a0pleaded not guilty Monday to felony charges for burglary.<\/p>\n

Neither Swalwell\u2019s campaign nor Cloobeck responded to requests for comment Saturday.<\/p>\n

One source who worked on Swalwell\u2019s campaign confirmed the video was shot in Cloobeck\u2019s mansion, and he has since gone missing in action as staffers quit in droves.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re trying to help the staff, people who are new and cared and believed and put their professional lives on the line,\u201d the source said.<\/p>\n

Senior staffers for both Swalwell\u2019s campaign and his congressional office issued a joint statement Saturday saying they were \u201chorrified\u201d by the allegations.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe behavior detailed in these reports is abhorrent, beneath the dignity of those serving in public office and betrays the trust of all Californians,\u201d they wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cAny decision of staff members to remain in their roles in the interim should not be viewed as support for Eric Swalwell.\u201d<\/p>\n

David Latterman, a political analyst in San Francisco, said that Swalwell \u2018s campaign is like a \u201cdead man walking.\u201d Many of Swalwell\u2019s Democratic allies in Congress \u2014 from House minority leader Hakeem Jeffries to former speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi \u2014 have called for an investigation and for Swalwell to drop out of the governor\u2019s race.<\/p>\n

Others have called on Swalwell to resign from Congress, and the\u00a0Manhattan District Attorney\u2019s office announced it was launching a criminal investigation\u00a0into a woman\u2019s claims that Swalwell raped her in 2024.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe the campaign is the least of his problems right now if he\u2019s criminally charged and there is real evidence against him,\u201d Latterman told The Post.<\/p>\n
